From some archeological remainders and assumptions, it has been understood that the gear wheel mechanisms had been utilized up to 3000 years before. In these dates, the lever and inclined plane mechanisms were mainly used in carrying the stone blocks. Formerly, the gear wheel method has also been used with these arrangements and later on, these mechanisms made of the wood have been used for transferring the movements and loads. There was not a gear profile in these mechanisms. However, it has been observed that the teeth on the wheels have affected each others by means of translation.
