Founded in 1973, I.MAK’s roots go back to the late sixties when a few passionate and hardworking machinists and engineers designed and produced some of the very first gearboxes made in Turkey. They developed their ideas in their workshop until the foundation of the I.MAK brand in 1973 and the beginning of an Industrial production in Demirkapı. The company then grew into a second factory in Pendik, Istanbul, in 1993.
With its new 16.000 sqm² production facility, I.MAK quickly developed it range of products and started the production of a new helical gearbox, worm gearbox, and belt variators… Over the years, the company innovated with new technologies in manufacturing and production through constant investment in machines, and research.
Adopting a global growth strategy which was started in the year 2000, I.MAK is now present in more than 40 countries with a strong network of distribution and key stocking and assembly facilities around the world.
